Western corporate media has been on the side of the US decision to arm Ukraine while relentlessly vilifying Russia; yet suddenly, the latest series of articles mark a noticeable change in tone and suggest that relations between Kiev and...

this is sputniknews if i don’t like main stream news because its bad and fake. i will also not go to Russian propaganda news that does the exact same thing but for Russia instead of America. its the exact same shit. its like not liking cnn for fake news but then watching rt that does the exact same thing. i find that funny.

I think it’s useful to read their perspective because it provides the best critique of the CIA narrative.

I think it’s even less full of lies than what CNN pushes, though that’s not hard.

okay but Russia has there own version of the CIA so them criticizing the CIA seems more like a job evaluation not real Criticism.

I do not follow the issues that closely, and think that there are very few reliable sources. You are either dealing with regime media or NGOs… Which is not that different from what you have to do in American politics.

But the view from 30,000 feet is like…

  • Russia adheres to more conservative values

  • Russia wishes to be strong & free from globohomo.

  • The US federal government and mainstream culture is dead set on exporting the culture of death throughout the world.

So, I do what a lot of people do, and I tend to side with what I think is the lesser of two evils.

I have absolutely nothing against the USA. i LOVE IT. I think that the American revolution was noble - they wished to liberate the world from arbitrary rule, and the English government that they opposed had also become infested with all sorts of bad actors. It was full of vision. I support going back to the roots of it, even though I am something of a monarchist. This sounds contradictory, but I think you would agree it makes sense if we could discuss it at length.

BTW, thanks for all these replies. Let’s keep it going if you like.

I tend to side with what I think is the lesser of two evils to. but i do not like anything to do with dictatorships it just makes me not trust it. i already have to be Suspicious Enough when its a democracy.there are a couple good revolutions until the communist revolutions started then it went all to shit. i think the only way a monarchy can be kind of good is when its a figure head with no actual power what most monarchy’s are now.

You should consider that a democracy is based on appealing to people and thus necessitates white lies and saying whatever the people want in order to get power…

Less democratic societies probably are able to afford a lot more honesty than democratic ones.

in less democratic societies you don’t even have to care about lies because people have no other choice that is one of bad things about dictatorships i also don’t see why less democratic societies would be more honest when they can get away with more because they are less democratic and even if they would be more honest there would be no consequences because they are less democratic . there should always be Separation of powers and democracy

the USA sending $1.2 billion there yesterday or the day before must count for something . Yeah, it was money money to be laundered in Ukraine somehow, but “abandon”? Nah. Know that they are caught red-handed in their bullshit, probably.

I think it is the case that they might be admitting to themselves that they miscalculated the situation, an so they will basically abandon Ukraine in terms of the current war.

Arm them and keep the broke & failed Zelensky regime as a client state? Certainly. They will even claim to have won the war, and that they did nothing wrong at all.

But everyone who is objective will whisper that the war effort was abandoned and that Washington blundered.
